Reddit Actions
Send entrants to any subreddit with a trust-based Visit Subreddit action.
Visit a Subreddit
Visit a subreddit. Reddit has no public subscriber list, so Tokei awards the points on trust.
Setup
1
Enter the subreddit (for example r/pics, or paste its reddit.com link)
2
Set the points value (default: 3)
3
Enable the action
Participant Experience
- Click the button to open the subreddit in a new tab. Points are awarded on that click
- With Verify on, the participant returns and clicks "Continue" instead, and the claim appears on your Verify page
Tips
- This action is trust-based (no Reddit sign-in or API check) — points award as soon as the participant clicks the button, or Continue when Verify is on
- Tokei cannot see who joins a subreddit, so the Verify page shows no Reddit username
- Subreddit names run 2 to 21 letters, digits or underscores. User profiles (u/…) are not accepted
- Keep the action copy specific (e.g., "Visit r/YourCommunity on Reddit")
Availability
Available on Contest, Gamify and Promote pages. On a Landing page, actions only appear once the visitor has signed up.
