Affiliate Program

The program is open to accounts with an active paid subscription or a lifetime plan. Trials, seven-day access grants and lapsed subscriptions are not eligible.

Eligible accounts see an Affiliate tab in Dashboard → Settings. Your personal link lives there, next to your referrals and earnings.

1. Copy your link from the Affiliate tab. It looks like tokei.io/join/your-code.
2. Share it. When someone clicks it, Tokei remembers the click for 30 days.
3. If that visitor creates a new Tokei account inside the window, the referral is credited to you. The most recent affiliate link clicked is the one that counts.
4. Once the referred creator makes a successful payment above zero, you start earning.

Existing accounts are never attributed, and an account can only be attributed once. Trials, signups and $0 invoices earn nothing, and neither does a referral on a comped plan.

• 40% of the amount invoiced, on every payment, in US dollars.
• The rate applies to the invoice before account credit and before payment processing fees.
• Subscribers earn for as long as the referral keeps paying, provided their own plan stays active. If your plan lapses, accrual pauses and resumes when you resubscribe.
• Lifetime-plan holders earn on each referral for 24 months from that referral's first payment.

• New commission is pending for 7 days, then becomes available.
• While you have an active plan, available commission is applied to your own invoice as account credit first. Credit is applied weekly, so it lands on your next invoice.
• Once your available balance reaches $100.00 you can request a cash payout, sent by PayPal to your account email. Lifetime-plan holders have no invoice to credit, so they go straight to cash.
• Your first payout needs an accepted self-billing agreement and a VAT declaration, both collected in the Affiliate tab.
• A refunded or charged-back payment reverses its commission, even after it has cleared.

Every promotion you publish carries a Made with Tokei footer. Tick Use my affiliate link in the ‘Made with Tokei’ footer in the Affiliate tab and that footer links through your referral link instead.

• The option is off by default.
• While it is ticked it replaces any custom footer branding you have set. Unticking restores it.
• Changes can take up to 5 minutes to reach live pages and embeds.

Self-referrals do not qualify, and neither do referrals that share your email address or payment method. The following promotion methods are prohibited, and Tokei can suspend an account that uses them:

• Offering cash rebates to people who sign up through your link
• Listing your link on coupon or deal sites
• Bidding on “Tokei” or its misspellings in paid search
• Sending unsolicited email

Sweepstakes directories such as SweepsDB and SweepsAdvantage list Tokei promotions and send entrants to them. Some of those entrants go on to run promotions of their own.

Tokei tracks directory referrals by the utm_source on the link, for example ?utm_source=sweepsdb&utm_medium=referral. This is separate from the affiliate program, because a ?ref= code on a promotion URL is an entrant referral code and earns no commission.
