Steam Actions

Boost game visibility and community growth with Steam Wishlist, Play Game, and Join Group actions.

Available Actions

Add to Steam Wishlist

Reward participants for adding your game to their Steam wishlist using your App ID and game name.

Play a Game

Reward participants for owning or playing your game. Great for encouraging installs and repeat engagement.

Join a Group

Reward participants for joining a specific Steam Community group, building a stronger player base.

Setup

Add your Steam action in Entry Methods, then configure the App ID, game name, or group details depending on the action type.

Quick Start

  1. Open your promotion in the dashboard
  2. Go to the Entry Methods tab
  3. Click Add Action and choose a Steam action
  4. Enter your App ID and game name (or Steam group details)
  5. Set the point value for each Steam action
  6. Save and publish your promotion

Tip: Steam App IDs come from the game URL, for example /app/730/ means App ID 730.

What Users See

Participants see Steam-branded action buttons on your promotion page. They complete the requested Steam action, then return to your promotion flow and continue earning points.

Note: Steam actions are especially effective for game launches, updates, and community growth campaigns.

Availability

Available on Contest, Gamify and Promote pages. On a Landing page, actions only appear once the visitor has signed up.
