What it does
Tokei connects to the Brevo API and syncs every giveaway entrant to your chosen list. Contacts are created or updated in real time — with custom attributes attached for segmentation and follow-up campaigns.
Brevo is more than email. It's email, SMS, WhatsApp, and CRM in one platform. Entrants who land in your Brevo list are reachable across all those channels — not just inbox.
How contacts sync
- 1Someone enters your promotion and submits their email.
- 2Tokei sends their details to Brevo — email, name, and custom attributes.
- 3The contact is added to your selected list instantly.
- 4Existing contacts are updated with new attributes — no duplicates.
How it works
Two values from your Brevo account: an API key and the list ID you want entrants added to.
API Key
Brevo → Settings → SMTP & API → API Keys. Disable unauthorized IP restrictions.
List ID
Contacts → Lists → open the target list and copy its ID.
IP restrictions
Brevo restricts API keys to authorized IPs by default. Turn off “Unauthorized IP addresses for your API keys” in Settings, or the connection will fail.

Why it matters
Brevo is popular across European markets and with teams that want transactional email and marketing email in one dashboard. If that's your setup, giveaway entrants should flow into the same system — not a disconnected CSV sitting in your downloads folder.
The multichannel angle is real. An entrant in your Brevo list can receive a welcome email, then an SMS reminder about the winner announcement, then a WhatsApp follow-up with a discount code. One platform, multiple touches.
Custom attributes
Tokei writes structured attributes onto every Brevo contact so you can filter, segment, and personalize immediately.
First name from entry formLast name from entry formtokeiEntry datePromotion identifierThe Sendinblue rebrand
Brevo was Sendinblue until 2023. If you set up your account under the old name, nothing changes on the technical side — your existing API keys, lists, and automations all work exactly as before.
The Tokei integration uses the same Brevo API regardless of when your account was created. No migration required.
Common questions
My API key keeps failing
Brevo restricts keys to authorized IPs by default. In your Brevo settings, disable “Unauthorized IP addresses for your API keys” — or whitelist Tokei's servers.
I still see “Sendinblue” in my account
That's fine. The integration works identically regardless of which brand your dashboard shows. Same API, same endpoints.
Can I use SMS automations with giveaway entrants?
If entrants provide a phone number and it syncs to Brevo, yes — you can trigger SMS workflows from Brevo's automation builder. The Tokei integration syncs email and name by default; phone is captured if your entry form collects it.
