What it does
Add your Reddit Pixel ID to your Tokei account and the tracking code loads on every public promotion page. Page visits are reported back to your Reddit Ads account automatically — no tag manager, no manual code placement.
This gives you attribution. When you run a Reddit Ad pointing to your giveaway, you can now see exactly how many people visited, and build audiences from that traffic for retargeting.
Why Reddit Ads for giveaways
Reddit is underused for giveaway promotion — which means lower CPMs and less competition for attention. Subreddit targeting lets you reach hyper-specific audiences: people who are already interested in your niche, your product category, or your competitor's alternatives.
The problem without pixel tracking: you can't measure what happens after the click. Did they enter? Did they bounce? Should you scale that campaign or kill it? The Reddit Pixel answers those questions.
Without the pixel
- You see clicks in Reddit Ads Manager
- No visibility into what happens on your page
- Can't retarget visitors who didn't enter
- Can't optimize delivery toward converters
With the pixel
- Full funnel visibility from ad to page visit
- Retarget visitors who saw but didn't enter
- Build audiences from giveaway page visitors
- Optimize ad delivery toward engaged users
How it works
One field: your Reddit Pixel ID. Find it in your Reddit Ads account under Events Manager. Paste it into Tokei, and tracking goes live across all your promotion pages.
Quick setup
- 1Open Reddit Ads Manager → Events Manager → your Pixel.
- 2Copy your Pixel ID.
- 3In Tokei: Account Settings → Tracking → paste your Reddit Pixel ID.
- 4Save. The pixel fires on every promotion page from now on.

Building audiences
Once the pixel is firing, Reddit builds audiences automatically from page visitors. You can then create retargeting campaigns aimed at people who saw your giveaway but didn't enter — or build lookalike audiences from those who did.
Particularly effective for niche communities. If you're promoting a giveaway in r/MechanicalKeyboards or r/Skincare, the people who click through are already qualified. Retargeting them costs less and converts higher than cold traffic.
Common questions
Do I need a Reddit Ads account?
Yes. The Reddit Pixel is created inside Reddit Ads Manager. You need an active ads account to generate and access the pixel.
Does it fire on embedded widgets too?
The pixel fires on Tokei-hosted promotion pages. For embedded widgets on your own domain, you'd add the Reddit Pixel to your site separately.
Can I use both Meta and Reddit pixels?
Yes. Tokei supports multiple tracking pixels simultaneously. Add both and each fires independently on your promotion pages.
