Page Types
Every promotion is one of four page types. The type decides which features are available, what participants can do, and which URL your promotion is published on.
Overview
You pick the page type when you create a promotion, from the Themes picker in the Setup tab of the promotion editor. Each type publishes to its own route:
| Page type | URL | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Landing | /discover/<your-url> | Focused email capture — a standalone page for interest and signups. |
| Contest | /contest/<your-url> | Prize giveaway — participants earn entries, winners drawn at random. |
| Gamify | /levelup/<your-url> | Points and tiered rewards, with a leaderboard. |
| Promote | /promote/<your-url> | Drive traffic to a live product, app or crowdfunding campaign. |
Locked after publishing: the Themes picker is hidden once a promotion is published, so the page type cannot be changed on a live promotion. Pick deliberately, or duplicate the promotion to switch.
Landing
Published at /discover/<your-url>
One job: collect emails. No distractions, no social buttons, no points — just a clean form that converts visitors into subscribers. After submission, visitors see your custom post-capture content.

Best For
- Newsletter signups
- Product launch waitlists
- Early access and beta programs
- Event registration
- Lead magnets and gated downloads
Key Characteristics
- The email form is the primary call to action
- Custom post-capture content after submission
- Minimal interface — prize displays and leaderboards are hidden
- Email integration for list building
Post-Capture Content
After a visitor submits their email they see your post-capture content, configured with a Heading and a Description. For example:
Heading:
"You are on the list!"
Description:
"We have sent you a confirmation email with next steps. Look out for our welcome email with exclusive content."
Best Practices
- Lead with a headline that states the value proposition plainly
- Keep the form simple — email-only converts best
- Add a countdown timer for limited-time offers
- Write action-oriented button text ("Join Now", "Get Access", "Reserve My Spot")
- Make sure post-capture content sets clear expectations
- Connect an email integration so leads sync automatically
Note: A Landing page can still show entry methods, but only once the visitor has an email session and you have configured at least one action. They render without point badges, so the page stays focused on capture. Secret Code is the one exception — it never shows on a Landing page, so a promotion whose only action is a secret code still renders nothing.
Contest
Published at /contest/<your-url>
Prize-driven giveaways where participants earn entries through actions. Each completed action earns entries, more entries mean a higher chance of winning, and when the campaign ends you pick winners at random.

Best For
- Giveaways with physical or digital prizes
- Viral campaigns that encourage sharing
- Short-term promotional bursts
- Product launches with limited rewards
- Traditional sweepstakes format
Features Included
- Everything in Landing
- Entry methods (social actions, referrals, surveys, uploads)
- Prize management and random winner selection
- Winner announcement display
- Daily bonus entries
- Referral system
Prize Management

Build your prize lineup in the Prizes tab of the promotion editor. Each prize takes a name, a value, a currency and a number of winners.
Prize Limits
- Pro promotions: up to 50 prizes, with up to 500 winners each
- Trial accounts: 1 prize with 1 winner
- Edit, duplicate, reorder or remove prizes at any time
Grand Prize Focus
- 1st Prize: $1000 (1 winner)
- 2nd Prize: $250 (2 winners)
- 3rd Prize: $50 (5 winners)
Best for: maximum excitement, viral potential
Many Winners
- $50 Gift Card (20 winners)
Best for: higher perceived chance of winning
Winner Selection
Once your campaign has ended, open the Prizes tab and click Select Winner for each prize. The system draws at random from all eligible entrants.
How the Draw Works
- Each entry counts as one chance to win
- More entries means a higher probability of selection
- Selection is cryptographically random for fairness
- Previous winners are excluded from subsequent draws
- All selection actions are logged for audit purposes
Re-rolling a Winner
You can re-roll to draw a different winner when:
- A winner is unresponsive after contact attempts
- A winner is ineligible (wrong region, disqualified)
- A winner declines the prize
Promoting Winners
- Enable "Promote Winner" to show winner names on your campaign page after it ends
- Only a first name or display name is shown, so it stays privacy-safe
- Proves your giveaway is legitimate and builds social proof for the next one
Best Practices
- Write specific prize descriptions so participants know exactly what they can win
- Include prize values to create excitement and urgency
- Use multiple tiers to give more people a chance
- Enable referrals to encourage viral sharing
- Set a clear end date, and contact winners promptly after the draw
Configure how participants earn entries in the Entry Methods & Actions guide, or see the Entry Methods tab for where each setting lives.
Gamify
Published at /levelup/<your-url>
Points, rewards and leaderboards. Instead of a random prize draw, participants earn points for every action they complete and unlock rewards at set thresholds — so effort is rewarded rather than luck.

Best For
- Longer campaigns running weeks or months
- Building an engaged community
- Growing social followings
- Rewarding effort rather than luck
- Creating brand ambassadors
- Product Hunt, TikTok or Steam launches
Features Included
- Everything in Contest
- Points system instead of entries
- Tiered rewards at point thresholds
- Real-time points counter with animations
- Leaderboard (Shift+L opens it)
- Daily bonus points
Setting Up Rewards
Reward tiers live in the Prizes tab. For each tier, set the points required plus the reward type and description. Rewards can be discount codes, VIP access, digital content or physical prizes.
Example Reward Structure
- 50 points - 10% discount code
- 100 points - Early access to product updates
- 200 points - VIP status with exclusive perks
- 500 points - Free product or premium reward
Points Counter
Participants see their running total on the page. Points update in real time as actions complete, and each action's value is shown on its button. You control those values per action in the Entry Methods tab.
Leaderboard
Participants can open the leaderboard to see how they rank (keyboard shortcut: Shift+L). Your dashboard shows the same ranking, which is the quickest way to spot your brand ambassadors.
Daily Bonus
Daily bonus is at its most effective here. Participants claim bonus points once every 24 hours, which builds the habit of returning and compounds their totals over the life of the campaign.
Best Practices
- Start with a few clear tiers — you can add more later
- Make the first reward easy to reach so participants get hooked
- Announce milestones and leaderboard updates to keep momentum
- Combine daily bonus with social sharing to grow reach and engagement together
- Highlight top performers to create friendly competition
See Entry Methods & Actions for every action you can award points for.
Promote
Published at /promote/<your-url>
Already have a live product, app or campaign? Promote drives traffic straight to it. There are no separate prizes to fulfil — participants complete actions that support your launch directly.

Best For
- AI app launches and onboarding funnels
- Growing a product that is already in market
- Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Wefunder campaigns
- Product Hunt launch days
- Any campaign where the destination is the prize
Why Use It
- No prize fulfilment or logistics to manage
- Every action pushes traffic to your live destination
- Still builds a mailing list for follow-up
- Social sharing amplifies reach to new audiences
Routing rule: Promote is also where any promotion lands when you switch email capture off. A Landing, Contest or Gamify promotion with capture disabled is served from /promote/<your-url> rather than its usual route.
Recommended Actions
Direct Traffic
- Visit Campaign — link straight to your app, launch page or crowdfunding URL
- Product Hunt — drive upvotes and follows on launch day
- Steam — wishlist adds for a game launch
Social Sharing
- Share on X with pre-filled launch copy
- Share on Facebook and LinkedIn for reach
- WhatsApp and Telegram for personal recommendations
Engagement
- Referrals to bring in friends
- Daily bonus to sustain repeat visits
- Survey to gauge interest or collect feedback
Best Practices
- Use real imagery or video from the product you are promoting
- Match the countdown timer to your launch or campaign window
- Enable referrals so supporters recruit for you
- Pre-fill social sharing text with your target URL and key message
- Collect emails so you can follow up with visitors who do not convert
Browse ready-made Promote pages under Templates, or see Entry Methods & Actions to configure each one.

Choosing the Right Type
Ask yourself these questions:
Just collecting emails?
Use Landing. Keep it to a headline and a form.
Giving away prizes to random winners?
Use Contest. Entries plus a random draw at the end.
Rewarding everyone who participates, or running for months?
Use Gamify. Points, tiered rewards and a leaderboard sustain engagement over time.
Sending traffic to something that is already live?
Use Promote. No prize fulfilment — every action points at your app, product or crowdfunding page.
